Team Tennis
Anthem Golf and Country Club is proud to participate in USTA, WITL, and ATA tennis leagues. If you are interested in playing on an Anthem Golf and Country Club team please contact Director of Racquet Sports Chris Brewer at chris.brewer@invitedclubs.com. Teams must be comprised of a minimum of 80 percent Club Members. Guests on Club teams must pay a seasonal guest fee. Guests do not have any privileges outside of participating in team matches and scheduled practices led by a Club professional. Adult Lessons
Cardio Tennis
Cardio Tennis is a high-energy fitness program that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full-body, calorie-burning aerobic workout.
Cardio Tennis is a fun group activity for anyone, at any playing level, looking for a fun way to burn calories & interact with others outside of the gym.
Men’s Drop-In Tennis
Held at the Persimmon courts, Men’s Drop-In is a complimentary program that does not require advanced registration. Come on out, pick up a game and have a great time among friends.
Team Drills
Drills are designed only for Anthem Club team members, to learn tactics and develop doubles strategies in a competitive environment. If you are interested in joining a team contact Director of Racquet Sports, Chris Brewer at chris.brewer@invitedclubs.com.
Ball Machine
Members must make an initial appointment for a demonstration with one of our professionals to learn how to use the Playmate ball machine. After your orientation, you may rent the ball machine for $10 for one hour. We also offer an unlimited annual ball machine pass for only $200. Charge is pro-rated upon registration.
Special Events
Our tennis program offers Special Events each month. Events include Anthem vs Anthem, Cactus Cup and Ugly Sweater Mixer. In addition, the 2nd Friday of every month we host a complimentary Member Appreciation Clinic. This is a free clinic for all levels of players. Advanced registration is required for all Special Events including Member Appreciation.

About Monty
Monty brings over 33 years of experience in the country club and hospitality industry. Monty is a 1987 graduate of Texas Tech University and has a degree in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management. He is a Member of the Club Managers Association of America, served on the Board of the Texas Alliance of Recreational Organizations (TARO), and chaired the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Human Science at Texas Tech University. After managing a member-owned country club in West Texas, Monty joined ClubCorp in 1989. During his 18-year career with ClubCorp, he managed several premier Texas properties including Kingwood Country Club in Houston, Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, and Stonebriar Country Club in North Dallas. In 2000, Monty was promoted to Vice President where he led a team of ten regional support staff responsible for 25 country clubs. The clubs were located across the country from McAllen Texas to Boston, Massachusetts, and represented more than $118 million in annual revenues. Monty’s team led the organization in membership growth while also significantly improving employee satisfaction. He oversaw the successful development of new properties like the Nicklaus Golf Club at Lions Gate in Overland Park, Kansas, which included a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course and the addition of an 18-hole Fazio Resort Course at Stonebriar Country Club.
